Legal Fees – Injury Lawyers UK (Cleversons Solicitors)
When you instruct Cleversons Solicitors in any area of law we may provide you with a quote of our fees or agree to work with you on a Fixed Fee Basis. In addition to this we often work with Private Clients on a No Win No Fee Agreement, known as a Conditional Fee Agreement. Please see below for specific fixed fees for some areas of Law which may be appropriate to your instructions to us.
All of the fees we charge will be clearly set out within our retainer with you or your Conditional Fee Agreement.
All of our fees are quoted on the basis of the following Fee Structure.
Grade A or 1 (Solicitors and Legal Executives with over 8 years experience after qualification) – £267 per hour
Grade B or 2 (Solicitors and Legal Executives with over 4 years experience after qualification) – £229 per hour
Grade C or 3 (Other Solicitors, Legal Executives and staff of equivalent experience) – £165 per hour
Grade D or 4 (Trainee Solicitors, Trainee Legal Executives and other staff of Equivalent experience) – £121 per hour
We review the hourly rates in January each year and we will notify you of any changes in writing.
Fixed Fee Services
Depending on your instructions our fees may vary from the sums set out below. Instructions vary in complexity and all fees are based on the number of hours anticipated on your claim. Where a fee differs from the fixed fees contained here we will explain why to you before accepting your instructions.
Personal Injury & Clinical Negligence
We undertake all of our Claimant Personal Injury matters on a Conditional Fee Agreement which means it is on a No Win No Fee Basis. This firm charges, as a matter of policy, a 25% Success Fee to be taken from any recovered compensation, a full explanation will be provided when taking your instructions as there are certain aspects of your claim where the Success Fee does not apply, such as Future Loss of Earnings for example. We also recover fees from the Opponent when successful with a claim. In claims up to the value of £25,000.00 these fees are normally fixed fees. Such fees are set out in the Civil Procedure Rules at Rule 45.1
Where a claim is valued at over £25,000.00 our fees are Claimed from the Opponent, on your behalf, at the following rates:

Criminal Injury Compensation Claims
We are unable to recover fees from the Criminal Injury Compensation Board, therefore our fees will be dealt with as a Success Fee. Our Success fee will vary depending on the level of your claim and we may enter into either a Conditional Fee Agreement with you (if there is also a Civil Claim) or just a Damages Based Agreement. Our Success Fee will be no less than, as a matter of policy, 25% of any recovered compensation.

Medium Estate up to £1.25m no more than 4 Bank Accounts, 6 Beneficiaries and 2 Properties and no over seas property. – 2.5% Plus VAT of the Total Value of Probate
Contested Probate £4500.00 Plus VAT (Plus Disbursements) for each Claim received against the estate.
Intestate Letters of Administration – 3% Plus VAT of the Total Value of Probate.
Contested £5000.00 Plus VAT (Plus Disbursements) for each Claim received against the estate.
Large Estateover £1.25, no more than 3 Properties in England and Wales, 5 Bank Accounts and 7 Beneficiaries – 3% Plus VAT of the Total Value of Probate
Contested Probate £6500.00 Plus VAT (Plus Disbursements) for the first Claim received against the estate. £250.00 per hour plus VAT thereafter for all other Claims where received.
Intestate Letters of Administration – 4% plus VAT of the total value of Probate.
Contested £7500.00 Plus VAT (Plus Disbursements) for the First claim received against the estate. £250.00 plus VAT per Hour thereafter for all other claims where received.
